Our client is seeking a Manager for their fast growing Business Valuation practice. As a Manager, you would play a key role in the following areas: being a primary and trusted advisor to clients; managing other engagement team members; training and developing other professionals; enhancing and improving effectiveness of business processes, financial models and reports. There would also be opportunities for you to build a large internal and external network of professional contacts to build for the next level of your career.

Our clients Business Valuation Practice provides an integrated service to clients. A Manager in the practice would provide the following services to clients: pre and post merger/acquisition advisory, valuations for financial reporting including purchase price allocations, impairment studies, preferred and common stock valuations, fixed income securities, embedded derivatives, contingent liabilities and capital markets transactions. Tax reporting projects include legal entity valuations, non-compete valuations, IP transfers, & IRC 409a valuations, estate and gift valuations, and transfer pricing.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Quantitative Analysis or other related major
5-7 years experience in the Business Valuation field
Demonstrated engagement-management skills, including written and oral communication skills, the ability to explain project deliverables and technical concepts to our clients management, staff and others as required
Knowledge in the areas of bankruptcy, restructuring, turnaround management, finance and/or debt restructuring, general accounting skills
MBA, CVA, CPA/ABV, ASA or CFA designation or candidacy preferred. This firm-wide role will be based in the Grand Rapids office
