We are currently looking for a seasoned Application Programmer/Analyst who will be intimately involved with application configuration including but not limited to, rules, screens, services, reporting, and extension of db. The successful candidate will also be involved with the creation of scripts and routines for testing, system analysis to determine need for changes that would enhance performance and usability, and management of source control and iterative builds.

Additional responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze data from systems and business users to determine issues related to the core product, custom configuration, and/or integrations
• Work with business users, internal IT staff, partners, and vendor support to determine the best possible course for a solution that meets the business requirement(s)
• Impact analysis of potential upgrades
• Configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting of upgrades
• Documentation of work and findings
• Working with vendor proprietary IDE

Technical requirements:
• J2EE, MS SQL, JDBC, XML, Web Services, WebShpere, SVN, Ant, JUnit testing

Business requirements:
• Given the level of exposure associated with this application, this position also requires excellent business communication skills, superior analytical thinking, and a professional demeanor

Education/experience requirements:
• 4 yr. degree with a programming major and 2 yrs. java programming experience, or 3-5 years of solid java development
• 5+ years working with business users to troubleshoot problems, enhance software, or define requirements

Desired skills/experience:
• Tomcat, iNetSoft, Quartz, advanced SQL query skills, Guidewire, .Net 3.5, web application development
