Job Description :-
Responsible for the technical performance characteristics of an SAP environment, including network, database, and application server performance. SAP Basis Administrators commonly perform activities similar to those of Systems Administrators, Network Administrators, Database Administrators, and Configuration Managers (in the context of the SAP environment).
Job Responsibilities :-
Monitor and maintain SAP systems environments for optimum performance and be proactive in identifying potential problems (environments include Sandbox, Development, QA and Production). Perform core Basis functions (e.g., corrections, support packs, kernels, transports). Assist in creating and modifying strategies, resolve problems and document issues and resolutions. Develop and implement action plans for small projects, with timelines and tasks, must have an in depth knowledge and experience in core SAP Basis Administration functions. 3+ years experience as a Basis Administrator. Experience with R/3 4.6C or greater. Experience with FI/CO, HR, BW, SEM preferred Knowledge of ITS and Enterprise Portals a plus. Knowledge of IBM's UDB RDBMS and RS6000 AIX platform. Knowledge of system copies, upgrades, installations a plus. Understanding of SAP’s interaction with networks and databases. Strong customer focus and management of client expectations. Strong oral and written communications skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills. Strong interpersonal skills at all levels of management. Excellent teamwork skills. Demonstrated experience working well with customers of varying levels of technical expertise in high-pressure situations and complex environments. 6 - 8 years of experience. The Basis Administrator is responsible for the installation, technical administration, tuning, and monitoring of the SAP Solution Manager application and supporting the functional teams. Since PepsiCo has all SAP Components, we expect that this person have significant experience in at least 1 other SAP component other than Solution Manager. SAP Components: ECC 6.0, CRM 4.0/5.0, SCM 4.1/ICH 5.0, SRM 4.0, (XI, BI, EP 7.0) NetWeaver 2004S.
